ان كورس تشكيل الخشب مبني على كورس النجارة العامة ويسعى الى تعريف المتدربين بالقيم الفنية الجمالية للفن الاسلامي وهندسة الفن الاسلامي وتاريخ تشكيل الأخشاب. كما أنه يعرض للمتدربين أساليب تشكيل متنوعة ويشرح لهم كيف أن طرق ضغط الخشب وتركيبه يتلائم مع التشكيل. يتعرف المتدربون أيضا على فن الأرابيسك والمشربية ويتعلمون كذلك تطبيقات معاصرة لهذا النوع الفريد من التراث الثقافي المصري. وبانتهاء الكورس سيكون باستطاعة المتدرب التعرف على الأنواع المختلفة لتشكيل الأخشاب وشرح كيفية صنعهم بالاضافة الى كيفية عمل التشكيلات وتطبيقها بصورة عملية في مجموعة من المنتجات الخشبية. يهدف الكورس الى دعم احياء حرفة الأرابيسك والمساعدة في اعادة تقديمه بطريقة تتناغم مع الفن المعماري الحديث.

This course on Wood Profiling builds on the General Carpentry course available on The Learning Hub. The course aims to support the revival of the craft of arabesque and to help re-introduce it in a manner that is in harmony with modern architecture.

The Wood Profiling course introduces learners to the aesthetic values and unity of Islamic art, Islamic art engineering, and the history of wood profiling. It shows learners different wood forming techniques and explains wood compaction methods and structures relevant to profiling. Learners are introduced to the art of arabesque and of mashrabbeya and taught various contemporary applications of this particular aspect of Egyptian cultural heritage.

Having completed the course, learners will be able to identify different types of wood profiles and explain how they are created. They will also have developed the skills to make such wood profiles and how to apply them to a range of wood products.

This is a blended learning course. The video portion of the course is followed by 30 hours of practical, face-to-face training.
