The role of civil society in Pakistan has increased over the past three decades. However, the NGO sector’s public perception has been tarnished and a large part of conservative sections of society and influential segments of Urdu press do not really understand the sector. In this briefing paper, four points are presented to help manage the trust deficit between the Government and civil society.
