Night-Time Tales

Description

Designed as a weekly ‘story-time’, Night-Time Tales was created to engage parents and children in a habit of reading together before bed.

Stories were selected from Africa Storybook Project’s extensive catalogue and vetted for context relevance, gender responsiveness, and age appropriateness.

Grace Ekirapa, a Nation TV celebrity, read the story in an engaging studio environment while also linking the story to a moral or life lesson.

Night-Time Tales reached over 1.5 million viewers at its height, is available on YouTube, and is part of a larger initiative to promote a culture of reading in Kenya.
