Video Description

This free training video in English was developed for smallholder farmers in East Africa looking to grow their income by processing cocoa beans at home.

By the time they complete the video, smallholder farmers will be able to:

  • Describe the advantages of fermenting freshly harvested cocoa beans at home,
  • List the simple materials needed to ferment cocoa beans at home,
  • Describe the steps required to ferment cocoa beans at home, and
  • Explain the length of time needed to ferment cocoa beans at home.

This video is also available in Portuguese and Swahili.
