Improving Learning Achievement in Early Primary in Low-Income Countries

Description

This paper reviews some of the available evidence on a range of interventions for primary education in low-income countries.

It considers the effectiveness of these interventions for children’s learning achievement and the contexts within which they have proven to be effective – or not.

Particular attention is given to the earliest years of school.
